Diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in 1974 at the age of two and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of nine, Brett Wilson is a two-time cancer survivor. Brett blue-coded twice while fighting cancer and has grappled with myriad health challenges that profoundly affected every aspect of her life.

A counselor, patient advocate, and founder of a successful non-profit, Brett is certified as a Cancer Survivorship Navigator for the Harold Freeman Patient Navigation Institute. She holds a master’s degree in counseling from Marshall University.

Brett is passionate about helping families and survivors. Her mission is to assist those who need it most. Once she became cancer-free, Brett’s recognition that many underserved areas across America are devoid of crucial services for families seeking counseling, support, travel assistance, and guidance through the complex terrain of cancer became the driving force behind her establishment of the Walking Miracles Family Foundation.

This is the fascinating survival story of Brett Wilson, founder and CEO of Walking Miracles, an organization dedicated to supporting families impacted by childhood, adolescent, and young adult cancer in West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania.
