In order for Walking Miracles to be on the cutting edge of support services we had to make sure every program we delivered was built structurally sound and was going to be successful. I wanted the very best to provide the most up to date information and knowledge I could get to help WV move forward in pediatric cancer care, so I created an advisory board. I have been mentored by Dr.Jimmie Holland founder of psychosocial oncology and trained by Dr. Harold Freeman founder of the Patient Navigation Institute both are from New York City. I have professional relationships with social workers, nurses, directors of bone marrow transplant and pediatric long term survivors clinics and cheifs of pediatrics in OH, KY,PA, NY and MD.  We have a medical consultant with a nurse background who was the director of a cancer service line in Nebraska, a legal cancer rights attorney from Los Angeles and with physicians who perform proton therapy treatments in Indiana. Having these great people involved to share ideas with Waking Miracles will guide us and give us an edge as we implement our programs to match the standards of cancer care required by the college of american surgeons in the areas of psychosocial oncology, cancer survivorship and patient navigation.
